The Sennheiser HD238 offers the complete package of great sound and value. While the sound performance is not quite to the level of Beats Studio by Dr. Dre, but they are still very good. There are plenty of options out there for headphones and earbuds - Sony, Bose, Nyrius, V-Moda, J-Buds, but take a moment to see if the Sennheiser HD238 are worthy of consideration. Notes- - As good as they may be, the Sennheiser do not offer any noise-caneceling (or isolating) capability. - Offer very good sound - however, they don't quite provide the full depth of some of the more expensive headphones - One of the consequences of open-eared headphones is that on a plane, the people next to you may become annoyed. The headphones are not only loud to the listener but they also allow the people around you to hear what you are listening to. - The Sennheiser HD238 comes with a thin canvas carrying case/bag. - The headphones can lay flat which helps them fit nicely into a backpack or travel bag - The headphones are comfortable on your ears but the band seems to be lacking a bit. It seems a bit flimsy and I can never seem to get it perfectly adjusted. - Durability - So far the Sennheiser HD238 have held up, but the headphones don't seem very sturdy. It is always in the back of my mind that they will break. Final verdict - Despite some of my concerns about the long-term durability (which may be completely unfounded) the Sennheiser HD238 are great sounding headphones at a reasonable price. 4 1/2 ...
